Janette cutting the cake at community lunch

Congratulations Janette

Janette has retired after 37 years as a Patient Services Assistant at the Austin Hospital. We celebrated at community lunch.

Our community lunch was a special one recently. We celebrated Janette’s retirement after 37 years as a Patient Services Assistant at the Austin Hospital.

Thirty-seven years is a long time looking after other people. Janette can now take things at her own pace — and spend a bit more of it here with us, which we are very glad about.

Janette is also the reason there is now a seat at the bus stop on Watsonia Road. She asked Banyule Council for one, and the Council said yes.

It was lovely to see everyone come together to wish her well. Here’s to the next chapter, Janette. You have certainly earned it.
