A Wednesday morning with the Busy Bee Gardeners

Spring in the garden

The Busy Bees have been weeding, planting flower seeds for spring, and picking silverbeet for the community lunches.

There has been a lot happening in the garden these past few weeks.

The Busy Bees have been weeding, tidying the beds ready for the warmer months, and putting flower seeds in for spring. There has been more silverbeet too, picked and taken straight through to the kitchen for our community lunches.

As anyone who comes along will tell you, it is not really about the plants.

Each week the group gets together to look after the garden, share what they know, and have a cuppa and a chat while they are at it. Shaz is there to show new people what to do, and no gardening experience is needed.

The Busy Bee Gardeners meet on Wednesday mornings, 10am to noon. Everyone is welcome.
